PROJECT OVERVIEW

In 1994, Fond du lac School District put their Strategic Plan into place. According to this document, Strategy IV, we will review present educational structure and explore innovative designs to continue to provide the most effective and relevant learning experience.

At Woodworth Junior High School, we believe that each child has the ability to learn and that there are many ways to evaluate their progress in school.

Gardener also believes that each child has the ability to learn. He concludes that each child possesses several types of intelligences...all equally valuable. The seven he has currently identified are: bodily/kinesthetic intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, visual/spatial intelligence, musical/ rhythmic intelligence, verbal/linguistic intelligence, and logical/mathematical intelligence. However, as research of the human brain continues it is likely that more will be discovered.

We will explore the original 7 intelligences and integrate our findings into lesson plan format.
