Center for Alternative Testing Procedures
- At the beginning of the term, the student will provide their professor with a VISA (Verified Individualized Services and Accommodations Form) and discuss approved testing accommodations. Faculty should make every effort to provide the alternative testing accommodation in their area. If the professor cannot provide the approved accommodations, the Center for Alternative Testing may be used.
- 3 days prior to every exam, the student provides the professor with an Alternative Testing Form. The student fills out the top half, and the professor fills out the bottom half (marked Faculty Use Only). Professors will refer to the student's VISA when checking accommodations to be provided for the test.
- The test and the Alternative Testing Form must be at the Center for Alternative Testing at least 24 hours in advance. 48 hours is preferred. If the test and the Alternative Testing Form are not at the Center for Alternative Testing 24 hours in advance, we cannot proctor the test.
- When completed, the test will be returned to the professor according to the method checked on the Alternative Testing Form.
These procedures are outlined in more detail in the links to the left. Please call 608-342-6006 or email email@example.com with any questions.
