WISCareers is an interactive self-assessment tool available for you to use on the Internet free of charge. WISCareers can help you to:

• Learn how your interests, skills and values relate to careers
• Search for and learn about careers
• Learn about colleges and programs of study
• Research employers in your field
• Learn job search skills
• Plan for your future education and career

To get started with WISCareers, just stop by the Career Center or the Academic and Career Exploration Services (ACES) office to receive a registration code from a Career Associate or from a Career Consultant. Log into http://wiscareers.wisc.edu to use the registration code given, a new screen will come up, click on Get Start (create new account). Once you have registered, you may create a username and password. From there explore the areas of WISCareers:

• Assessments - Take self-assessments to match your interests, skills and values with careers.
• Job Seeking - Do research about employers related to your field and learn job search skills.
• Occupations - Learn about the occupations that match your interests, values and skills.
• Education - Learn about colleges and universities as well as programs of study.
• Budgeting - Create a budget to help you reach your educational and career goals.

After you have completed any section of WISCareers, you may call to make an appointment or just stop by either the Career Center in the Karrmann Library, 1st Floor (342-1183) or the Academic and Career Exploration Services (ACES) (link tohttp://www.uwplatt.edu/advising/) office in 136 Warner (342-1033) to go over your results.
