Internships

Garrett Grinnell
Sales Internship at Bradley Corp Pittsburgh, PA
All accounting and business majors in the School of Business must complete an internship as part of the graduation requirement. (Media studies majors should contact their program advisor for details on their internship process.) When should you begin planning for an internship? At least one year out...
All accounting and business majors must attend one internship information meeting prior to beginning an internship. The next required internship information meeting is Monday, October 17, 6:30pm-8pm, Doudna 136.
Internship applications for Fall 2016 will be accepted beginning August 15. Students are strongly urged to submit internship applications by September 14 to allow time for approval and registration by the 10th class day (September 19.)

Students who have not completed the internship application and registered for ACCTING 4990 or BUSADMIN 4990 by September 19:
•       will be charged a $45 late fee.
•       will be ineligible for financial aid for the internship.
•       may have their PASS access inactivated. This will cause delays in processing the internship application and registration.

Final deadline for submitting an application for the internship: October 15, 2016. No applications will be reviewed or approved after that date.
NOTE: If you have not been enrolled for one or more semesters, you will need to apply for re-admission.

An accounting or business internship in the School of Business allows students to supplement their formal education with practical experience. It focuses not only on performing well on the job for an employer, but also on creating an optimal learning experience.
