The broad-field science major requires that students complete either concentrations (additional coursework) in two science disciplines OR a minor (or double major) in one of the science disciplines plus a two-semester core option in one other science.

Courses in italics can count as part of the core curriculum.

Biology

  • BIOL 1650 Unity of Life (5 cr)
  • BIOL 1750 Diversity of Life (5cr)
  • BIOL 2340 Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology (4 cr)
  • BIOL 3330 Genetics (3 cr)
  • BIOL 3450 Ecology and Evolution (3 cr)

Biology Minor: Complete the concentration + 4 credits of biology courses numbered above 2000 excluding 4010, 4410, 4660 and 4920.
