Students majoring in Biology may elect one of two routes to fulfill their degree requirements. Students who have specific biology interests, or who plan on a particular biology career, or who intent to enter a graduate or professional school should select the Comprehensive Biology Major with an Area Emphasis (see below for list of Emphases). Students who seek a wider range of biology experiences than is defined by an emphasis area may elect to not choose an emphasis area, instead creating their own set of electives that better align with their current or future interests and career goals.
