UW-Platteville won the first five matches then finished the day with a pin to beat Lawrence 29-13 Satruday in Williams Fieldhouse.
The Pioneers took a 23-0 lead, thanks in part to pins by Jeff Gale in 6:32 at 133 and Jesse Milks in 1:58 at 157. Heavyweight Ryan Rozek finished the afternoon with a pin in 2:38.
Dane Droessler (141) and Ryan Higgins (149) earned major decisions, while Spencer Peterson won his match at 125.
The Pioneers improved to 6-4 overall and 2-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Vikings, members of the WIAC for wrestling only, fell to 2-2, 0-2.
UW-Platteville is back in action Friday and Saturday at the North Central Invitational in Naperville, Ill.
