Behind two second-place finishes, the UW-Platteville wrestling team placed third out of 11 teams at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational Saturday.
Brad Zellner wrestled to second place at 184 pounds, while Cody Weber made a successful season debut after playing on the Pioneer football team, finishing runner-up at 285.
Lakeland won the team title with 125 pounds, while UW-Oshkosh was second with 117 and UWP third with 98.5.
Chris Spaude (133), Shaun Flom (149), and Matt Scott (197) were fourth in their weight classes, and Andy Casper (141), and Alex LeRoy (157) were fifth in theirs.
The Pioneers wrestle at UW-Stevens Point in a dual Thursday night.
