UW-Platteville made short work of Lawrence Saturday night, beating the host Vikings 37-9 in Appleton.
The Pioneers won three matches by forfeit and two others via pinfall. Jesse Milks pinned Matt Meiselman in 3:44 at 157, and Carsten Carlsen followed with a 2:30 pin of Evan Neuens at 165.
Spencer Peterson posted a majority decision at 133, beating Chris Gallegos 9-1, while Cory Zuberbier won 9-8 over Sam Laes at 174.
The Pioneers improved to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Lawrence, a member of the WIAC in wrestling only, fell to 1-6, 0-4.
UW-Platteville returns to action Friday at Loras in a single match and then in the Loras Open Saturday.
