The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team posted a 1-3 record at the Elmhurst Invitational, October 21 and 22.The Pioneers started the two-day tournament with a five-set win over North Central, 25-21, 25-21, 25-27, 21-25, 15-4. In the nightcap of the evening, UW-Platteville dropped a 25-17, 25-21, 25-19 decision to host Elmhurst.
On Saturday, the Pioneers lost in three to the University of Chicago, 25-14, 26-24, 25-19 and Wheaton College, 24-26, 25-14, 25-21, 25-19.
With a 1-3 mark, UW-Platteville is now 19-13 on the 2011 season and will resume the rigors of the WIAC when they travel to UW-Superior on Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. and UW-Eau Claire on Saturday, Oct. 29 at noon.
