Ninth-ranked UW-Whitewater ended visiting UW-Platteville's seven-match winning streak Tuesday with a 25-22, 21-25, 25-17, 25-11 victory.

Samantha Rampart led the Pioneers with 11 kills, and Briana Kaiser had 10 for UWP, while Melissa Zuleger topped the Warhawks with 14. Keri Klotzbuecher added 12 for UWW, who out-hit the Pioneers .275 to .156. Whitewater also registered 13 total blocks to help shut down the Pioneer attack.

The Warhawks improved to 15-4 overall and 3-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Pioneers fell to 13-7, 2-2.

UW-Platteville plays host to Ashford (Iowa) Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the annual Homecoming Yell Contest match.
