Join the UWP Women’s Volleyball Team in the “Dig for the Cure” campaign as they raise money and awareness for breast cancer research at their volleyball match against UW-Whitewater on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 7:00 pm in Williams Fieldhouse. During the match, teams will wear pink shirts featuring the WIAC “Dig for the Cure” logo, pink shoe laces and pink hair ribbons. Student-athletes will solicit pledges for their own team’s digs. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Madison.

Make a pledge and receive free admission to the match. Print off a pledge form on the UWP Volleyball website linked below or pick one up at the door. Pledges can be made for each dig the Pioneers make during the match or make a flat dollar amount donation. Currently the Pioneers average 14.7 digs per set (used to be called game).

Our volleyball team is very excited to have the opportunity to participate in this event to increase awareness of breast cancer and raise funds that will hopefully lead to a cure of this disease. We hope you will join us in the fight against breast cancer.
