UW-Platteville lost a four-game match at third-ranked UW-Whitewater Wednesday, as the Warhawks prevailed 30-20, 30-20, 28-30, 30-22.
Rachel Chapman led the Pioneers with 13 kills, while Lisa Bell had 10, and Kelly Laschinger had 40 assists. Emily Walker dug 20 balls, and Rochelle Ripp had 19 digs.
Carley Polk had 13 kills for the Warhawks (12-2, 2-0 WIAC), who out-hit the Pioneers .165 to .100.
The Pioneers (12-6, 0-2 WIAC) play host to the Impact Sports/Nike Invitational Friday and Saturday. UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout, Cornell and Lake Forest will join the Pioneers Williams Fieldhouse, beginning Friday at 4 p.m. and again Saturday at 10 a.m.
