UW-Superior continued its hot stretch of volleyball, beating UW-Platteville 3-1 Saturday in Gates Fieldhouse.
The Yellowjackets beat #10 St. Thomas last week and #14 UW-La Crosse Friday night before beating the Pioneers 30-21, 26-30, 30-25, 30-25.
The surprising Yellowjackets improved to 19-7 overall, while the Pioneers fell to 20-8. Both teams finished Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at 3-5.
Lisa Bell and Melissa Hillebrand each had 15 kills, and Kelly Laschinger recorded 50 assists for the Pioneers. Courtney Stach led four UWS players in double figures in kills with 14.
The Pioneers conclude the regular season next weekend at the UW-Whitewater Invitational then open the WIAC playoffs Tuesday, Oct. 30 at a site to be determined by the final standings.
