The UW-Platteville women's track and field team placed fifth out of 20 teams, while the Pioneer men were seventh of 24 squads at the Washington University Invitational Saturday in St. Louis.
Three Pioneers won their individual events: Carrie Morschauser in the High jump (5-3.75), Marcia Taddy in the 800 (2:15.36) and Tyler Sigl in the 5,000 (14:50.45).
Tim Jankowski added a runner-up in the pole vault at 15-0, while Kristin Campbell was third in the discus at 126-11.
Wash U. won the women's meet with 144 points, while the Pioneers totalled 51. The UWP men scored 47 in the meet won by McKendree College with 112.
