UW-Platteville's track and field teams turned in another day of solid performances at the Eastbay Invitational Saturday at UW-Stevens Point.
The men were third among 12 teams, and the Pioneer women were fourth in their meet.
The Pioneers won five events, including two by Carrie Morschauser and a school record from Mary Johnson.
Morschauser high-jumped 5-5 1/4, increasing her own NCAA III national championship provisional qualifying mark. She also captured the long jump in 16-7 1/4.
Johnson won the 200-meter run in 26.43, bettering her own Pioneer record.
Also turning in winning performances were Tim Jankwoski in the pole vault (14-10) and the women's 4x200 relay team in 1:49.27.
On Friday at Iowa State, freshman Tyler Sigl smashed Ryan Kleimenhagen's school record in the 5,000-meter run by 10 seconds. He was 24th among 75 finishers in a time of 14:40.13, lowering his provisional qualifying mark. Jackie Mulrooney placed 13th among 55 runners in the women's 5,000 race, finishing in 17:16.
