UW-Platteville's Tyler Sigl earned his 12th and final Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference runner of the week award after his spectacular performance at the Drake Relays.

Sigl, a senior from Seymour, won the 10,000-meter race at the 99th annual Drake Relays, beating 24 other finishers to win at one of the nation's most prestigious venues. The competition was mostly NCAA Division I runners who will be back at the same site in June for their national championships. Sigl, the defending NCAA Division III champion, finished in a time of 30:18.42 to surpass the second-place time of 31:06.46 by Parker Cowles of Air Force.

The Pioneers will compete at the WIAC championships Friday and Saturday at UW-Eau Claire.
