UW-Platteville's Tyler Sigl earned his 10th Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference athlete of the week award.
Sigl cruised to the 5,000-meter run title in 14:26.97, breaking his own school record, and leading the Pioneers to the team title at the 15-school Washington University (Mo.) Invitational. Besides setting a new Pioneer mark, Sigl automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship and has the top time in the country.
The senior from Seymour has won 10 WIAC athlete of the week awards during his four-year cross country and track career.
The Pioneers compete at the Wartburg Select Invitational Saturday.
