Taddy is national athlete of the year

UW-Platteville superstar Marcia Taddy made a clean sweep of the 2007 NCAA III track awards when she earned the Outdoor National Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The 13-time all-American and five-time NCAA III national champion won both the USTFCCCA Midwest Regional and National awards in the indoor and now the outdoor seasons.

The junior from Two Rivers will try and add to her resume this weekend, competing in the 800 and 1,500 runs at the NCAA III national championships at UW-Oshkosh. She won three events at the indoor championships, earning athlete of the meet as well.
