UW-Platteville's Tony Fontanini won the pole vault title at the UW-Whitewater Invitational, highlighting the Pioneers' performances Saturday.
The junior from Onalaska went 15-3 3/4 to claim the pole vault event, while teammate Scott Howard was third at 14-9 1/4.
The Pioneer men were fourth, and the women fifth in their respective meets. UW-Whitewater won the men's title, while UW-Eau Claire took the women's.
The men also scored high in the weight throw, with Corey Digman taking second in 55-8 1/2 and Brian Steingraber finishing third in 54-8 1/4.
