
UW-Platteville's Marcia Taddy earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week award.
Taddy, a sophomore (in outdoor track eligibility) from Two Rivers earned an automatic qualifying time for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 1,500-meter run at the Wartburg Select Invitational on April 8. She claimed the event in 4:33.46, winning by more than eight seconds.
Taddy now has won five WIAC Athlete of the Week awards in her illustrious career. She is a seven-time all-American in track and cross country and a two-time national track champion.
The Pioneers will compete at North Central in Naperville, Ill. Friday.
