UW-Platteville's Marcia Taddy earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference runner of the week award.
Taddy, a junior from Two Rivers, set two school records with NCAA Division III qualifying marks, while running two events at the Pointer Qualifier on Feb. 25. She won the 800-meter run in 2:13.05, an automatic qualifying time and the third-fastest time in NCAA Division III this year. Taddy was also a member of the distance medley relay team that recorded the third-best time in the NCAA Division III this season at 11:54.97.
She and her teammates will compete at the WIAC championships Friday and Saturday at UW-Stevens Point.
Taddy is the fifth Pioneer to earn WIAC weekly honors this spring, joining Jackie Mulrooney, Jim Uppena, Beth Ambrosious and Jessica Scott.
