Four members of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team picked up all-WIAC honors, league officials announced on Tuesday.
Senior shortstop Chantal McReynolds (Mineral Point) was named to the 20-person 2012 All-WIAC Softball Team. McReynolds finished her career with 30 doubles for the third most in school history, including 13 during her senior campaign which ties as the third most in a Pioneer season.
Joining McReynolds with all-WIAC honors were three individuals, who picked up honorable mention accolades. Named honorable mention were second baseman Ashlen Folkers (Rock Falls, Ill.), third baseman Colleen Lowe (Byron, Ill.) and designated player Nathalie Schattner (Union Grove).
The four all-conference selections are the most for UW-Platteville since the five selections in 2008.
Sophomore pitcher Jeni Freiburger was chosen to the All-Sportsmanship Team for her exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season.
