Another day, another major honor for UW-Platteville second baseman Tera Burr.
Burr earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Region honors Thursday, one day after earning all-conference honros and two days after earning a spot on the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association all-Great Lakes Region second team.
The junior from Shawano landed a spot on the District 5 College Division Second Team. District 5 is comprised of all non-Division I players in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota.
The three-time all-league second baseman and two-time all-region selection also excels in the classroom, carrying a 3.80 grade-point average while majoring in civil engineering.
She hit .438 this season with 13 doubles, 12 home runs and 39 runs scored. Burr is already UW-Platteville's career leader in batting average at .441 and home runs with 21.
