UW-Platteville's red-hot bats finally cooled, as the Pioneers had three hits in dropping two softball games Thursday at the Sun West Games in Orange, Calif.
The Pioneers were held to three hits in a 6-0 loss to Puget Sound and had no hits in a 10-0 loss against Concordia, Calif.
UWP dropped to 3-5 overall, with two games left to play on Friday. The Pioneers play California schools La Sierra and host Chapman.
Nikki Hansen and Maggie Digman each doubled to provide the UWP highlights in game one.
