Burr earns all-region honors

UW-Platteville's Tera Burr earned Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association all-Great Lakes Region honors.

The freshman from Shawano was a third-team selection, becoming the first Pioneer softball player to earn all-region honors since Kim Gleason and Becky Ahlbrecht in 2000.

Burr ranked 22nd in NCAA Division III with 15 doubles, a new Pioneer record. She led the club with a .398 batting average, getting 53 hits in 38 games while striking out just five times in 133 at-bats. She had four hits in games against both UW-Whitewater and UW-Stevens Point.

The second baseman also made 44 assists and 95 putouts for a .965 fielding percentage.
