UW-Platteville reached another milestone Friday, tying UW-Oshkosh 1-1 in Titans Stadium, breaking an 0-16 program record against the Titans.
The Pioneers, who beat UW-La Crosse 1-0 for the first time ever Wednesday, almost accomplished the same feat against UWO, but the Titans scored in the waning seconds to force overtime. Neither team scored in the two extra 10-minute sessions.
Kim Schneckloth scored, on an assist from Anna Allen, in the 76th minute for a 1-0 Pioneer lead. The Titans' Nicole Strieker, however, tied the score as time expired in regulation. Both teams had two shots on goal in overtime, but missed.
Kaitlyn Wiedeman made 14 saves for the Pioneers, who are now 3-3-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the WIAC. The Titans are at 2-3-1, 1-1.
UWP plays host to Waldorf (Iowa) Sunday at 3 p.m., or 30 minutes after the men's 1 p.m. game.
