Both Anna Strasser and Steph Pittz scored hat tricks, leading UW-Platteville to an 8-0 rout of host UW-Superior Saturday.
After Kimmy Trapp and Jessie Goodwin scored goals for the Pioneers, Strasser scored three straight and Pittz the next three.
Strasser had two of her three goals in the first half, as the Pioneers built a 4-0 halftime advantage.
The 8-0 margin matched a similar score against Waldorf earlier this season. These were the largest victories for the Pioneers since a similar score against Concordia (Ill.) in 2001.
UWP improved to 5-6-2 overall and 2-3-1 in the WIAC, while the Yellowjackets fell to 1-10, 0-5.
The Pioneers conclude their northern trip with a non-conference matchup at Finlandia (Mich.) Sunday.
