The UW-Platteville women's soccer team earned a road win Tuesday, beating Ripon College 3-1.
Kimmy Trapp scored an unassisted goal in the first half for a 1-0 halftime advantage. Allie Metcalfe, on an assist from Sarah Gengler, scored 19 minutes into the second period for a 2-0 lead.
After the Red Hawks' Jessica Martzahl sliced the lead in half in the 79th minute, Kim Schneckloth scored six minutes later on an Anna Stasser assist for the final 3-1 count.
The Pioneers, under acting head coach Allison Sanyi, improved to 2-1-1, while Ripon fell to 0-3.
UWP makes its home debut Saturday and Sunday in a huge soccer weekend at Pioneer Stadium. The schedule is:
