Erin Wilson scored off a corner kick with 3:52 left in the second overtime, lifting UW-La Crosse to a 1-0 victory over host UW-Platteville Wednesday.
Amy Cory took the corner from the right side, where Wilson re-directed it into the nets for her first goal of the year.
The Eagles improved to 7-3 overall and 3-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Pioneers fell to 2-5-3, 1-3. Four of the five UWP losses have come by one goal.
The Eagles out-shot the Pioneers 10-6, with Laurie Trifone making five saves for the Pioneers. Amanda Clark stopped two potential goals for UW-L.
The Pioneers play at St. Ambrose Friday at 6 p.m. and at Carleton Sunday at noon.
**The Pioneers will now face Ripon Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium instead of the Oct. 22 the match was scheduled.
