On Thursday, the UW-Platteville soccer teams donated their day putting together playground equipment at Neal Wilkins Elementary School.
On Friday night, the Pioneers put together all the pieces on the field in shutting out Marian twice in Fond du Lac.
The men posted a 5-0 blanking of the Sabres, and the women followed with a 4-0 win in Coach Enzo Fuschino's debut.
Five different players scored for the UWP men, as Tyler Holle, Ben Terpening, Dan Howard and Brian Gottschlich scored in the first half, and Adam Batchelder scored in the 59th minute. Howard, Terpening and Holle registered assists, while Kris Bosshart went 84:36 in the nets for the shutout.
Jackie Baumgart found the back of the nets just 5:38 into the women's game, and Sarah Miller added two more first-half scores. Katie Trifone added an insurance goal 14 minutes into the second half, while older sister Laurie Trifone recorded the shutout.
