UW-Platteville's Jackie Baumgart scored with 37 seconds remaining to tie the score, but Coe's Justine Screws scored in overtime for a 2-1 Kohawk victory Tuesday at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
Screws rebounded a long shot and just beat the Pioneer defense for the victory.
Coe's Laura Steele scored 27:39 into the game on a direct kick from 30 yards outing , and the Kohawks made that lead stand up until the final seconds.
The Pioneers had several good tying chances, including hitting the post, but could not crack the goal until the end. Baumgart took a pass from Sarah Gengler, raced down the right sideline, and beat the Kohawk defender to score the tying goal.
Coe improved to 3-4-1, while the Pioneers fell to 2-3-3. UWP is back at home Saturday vs. UW-Stevens Point at 2 p.m.
