Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion and 21st-ranked UW-Eau Claire knocked UW-Platteville out of the league playoffs by a 3-0 score Tuesday afternoon on a cold and windy day in Eau Claire.
Liz Kooistra scored twice in the first 15 minutes, and Jessica Millard scored in the 78th minute to lead the Blugolds, who improved to 19-2 overall.
Laurie Trifone stopped eight shots in the nets for the Pioneers, who end their season at 12-7-2.
UW-Eau Claire will now host the league's semifinal and championship games Friday and Saturday.
