The 2006 UW-Platteville women's soccer team became the first in school history to reach 10 wins, when the Pioneers beat Coe 1-0 Monday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Ashly Hamilton's goal at the 73:27 mark proved to be the game-winner, and Laurie Trifone saved six shots on goal to help the Pioneers make history.
UWP is now 10-4-2 on the season, while Coe fell to 7-7-1. Last year's team held the old victory record, compiling a 9-7-3 record.
The Pioneers are attempting a different kind of record Friday, when they play host to UW-Oshkosh at 7 p.m. UWP is trying to break the all-time NCAA Division III attendance record of 1,200 fans.
