UW-Platteville freshman defender Hope Huston earned first team all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference soccer honors.

Huston, from Bettendorf, Iowa, (Pleasant Valley High School) helped lead the Pioneers to the best record in school history at 12-7-2. The Pioneer defense recorded eight shutouts, helping UWP outscore its opponents 44-22 during the year.

Huston earned WIAC player of the week honors after helping the Pioneers snap a combined 0-35 streak against UW-Stevens Point and UW-La Crosse. The Pioneers tied both those teams in double overtime. UWP finished third in the conference defensively, allowing just 1.02 goals per game.
