Despite out-shooting St. Mary's 23-4, UW-Platteville dropped a 1-0 game to the visiting Cardinals Sunday afternoon.
Juamaine Venter headed in a perfectly lobbed pass from Ryan Rademacher at 79:05 for the game's only goal.
The Pioneers had seven shots on goal and hit the post on two other attempts. Cardinal keeper Jon Szafranski made six saves, and the SMU defense just cleared out another shot that all but went over the goal line.
St. Mary's improved to 6-8-2, while the Pioneers dropped to 8-8-2.
