Augustana kept UW-Platteville's offense in a deep freeze Wednesday night, beating the Pioneers 1-0 at a snowy Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
Nick Cosentino scored the game's lone goal, taking a sharp pass from the right side from Brad Becker and scoring on the left side.
The Pioneers had two good shots on goal and another solid chance when Ben Terpening's blast from 40 yards away just sailed high at the final horn.
Steve Wise saved five shots on goal, including a couple from point-blank range.
The Vikings improved to 8-4, while the Pioneers fell to 11-3 on a night that started with windy and cold conditions and eventually snowfall in the second half.
UWP has the weekend off and will play at Coe College Monday at 2 p.m.
