Caitlin Cook and Michelle Ebert both turned in top-20 finishes for the UW-Platteville women's golf team, which placed sixth out of eight teams at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational Saturday and Sunday.

With all seven Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams in the meet, the UWSP Invitational served as the preview for this weekend's conference championship. The host Pointers came away with the win, scoring 641. UW-Whitewater was second with 670, UW-Eau Claire finished with 685, UW-Oshkosh 698, UW-Superior 723, UWP 739, UW-Stout 747, and Carroll (not a member of the WIAC) 953.

Cook shot 177 to fie for 17th, while Ebert finished one stroke behind and19th. Julie Chapman was 31st at 190, Penny Case 194 and 33rd, Tricia Pawelski 42nd with 214. Brianna Cable shot 204 playing as an individual.

The WIAC championships are Saturday and Sunday in Watertown.
