For the second straight weekend, a UW-Platteville golfer had the best Sunday round in a tournament.

Michelle Ebert carded a 79 over 18 holes Sunday and placed third overall at the two-day 11th annual UW-Oshkosh Invitational at the Westridge Golf Club in Neenah.

The Pioneers were fifth of eight teams, improving by 14 strokes from Saturday to Sunday. UW-Stevens Point won the meet with a 664, while UW-Oshkosh was second with 680, UW-Whitewater 687, UW-Superior 723, UWP 734, St. Norbert 743, UW-Stout 753, and Ripon 835.

Ebert had a tournament-best five birdies over two days and shot 161 for the weekend. UWSP's Michelle Pascavis was the medalist with 156.

Caitlin Cook, who had the best Sunday round the previous week at UW-Eau Claire, was 30th overall with a 189, while Tricia Pawelski was 32nd with 193, Julie Chapman 33rd with 194 and Penny Case 38th with 201.
