The UW-Platteville women's golf team turned in a strong first day before faltering during the second at the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling.

The Pioneers shot 359 Saturday but faded to 391 Sunday, finishing the tournament in 15th place with a 750.

Michelle Ebert, who shot a 38 on the front nine Saturday, finished 47th at 171, followed by Caitlin Cook at 179, Penny Case at 193 and Tricia Pawelski at 207. The host Titans won the 16-team tournament.
