Assistant Football Coach

Entry Level- Benefits Position

 

Assistant Football Coach. Seeking recent graduate or graduate assistant. Will serve as a position coach in area of expertise. Other duties include but are not limited to recruiting qualified students athletes, fund raising, program administration, and promoting academic success of student-athletes. Other, non-football duties will be assigned that are consistent with degree or previous experience.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree. Minimum 2 years coaching or participation experience in football preferably on the collegiate level. Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent written and oral skills, computer skills using Excel, Powerpoint, MS Word, and able to use/learn Video Editing equipment and the associated software, organizational abilities, supervisory skills and demonstrated commitment or experience in a leadership position or playing/participating with diverse populations. Must be able to work weekends and evenings. Travel required. 

Employment will require a criminal background check.

 

Salary $15,000-$18,000

 

Starting Date: May, 2008.

Duties: Must be a teacher/mentor, motivator, disciplinarian, and strong knowledge of Zone blocking schemes. Other duties include but are not limited to recruiting qualified students athletes, fund raising, program administration, and promoting academic success of student-athletes. Computer skills needed include Excel, Powerpoint, MS Word, and ability to use Video Editing equipment and the associated software.  Other, non-football duties will be assigned that are consistent with degree or previous experience.

 

Qualifications: A Bachelors degree is required.  Minimum of 3 years of coaching experience preferably on the collegiate level.  Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication and organization skills are required.  Computer skills as outlined, organizational abilities, supervisory skills and demonstrated commitment or experience working with diverse populations in a leadership position including recruiting, coaching and mentoring.   Must be able to work weekends and evenings. Travel required.

Salary $30,000-$33,000
