The first UW-Platteville football luncheon is Friday at noon-1 p.m. in the Pioneer Student Center.

The public is invited to hear Coach Mike Emendorfer review training camp and preview Saturday's game at Buena Vista. Plus, selected seniors will address the gathering. The cost is $7 per person, and the luncheon is open to the public.

Future luncheons are set for Oct. 3, Oct. 31 and Nov. 14.

UW-Platteville and Buena Vista University meet on the football field for the first time ever, as the two schools square off Saturday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. on Bradford Field at J. Leslie Rollins Stadium, Storm Lake, Iowa.

The Pioneers were 2-8 overall and 1-6 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Beavers were 5-5 overall and 3-5 in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
