Seven prep games set for stadium

UW-Platteville's Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium will be the site of seven high school football games Friday and Saturday.

Platteville High School's season opener and the Impact Sports/Nike Six Rivers Conference Jamboree had already been scheduled for Pioneer Stadium, but now New Glarus vs. Iowa-Grant has been added for 2 p.m. Friday because of wet fields in New Glarus.

The complete prep schedule for this weekend:

Friday

2 p.m. Iowa-Grant vs. New Glarus

7 p.m. Platteville vs. Darlington

Saturday

10 a.m. Potosi vs. River Ridge

12:30 p.m. Highland vs. Belmont

3 p.m. Black Hawk vs. Seneca

5:30 p.m. Cassville vs. Benton/Scales Mound

8 p.m. Pec-Argyle vs. Shullsburg

Separate tickets are required for Friday's games, but one ticket is good for all of Saturday's jamboree games.

UW-Platteville makes its first game appearance on the field Saturday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. against a St. Ambrose team that finished 10-1 and is the preseason favorite in the Mid-States Football Association's Midwest League .
