UW-Platteville's Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium underwent a $1 million renovation project in the summer of 255, which provided new football and soccer playing surfaces.
A state-of-the-art ProGrass field was installed, with MZ Construction, Inc. of Linden serving as the chief contractor.
The project was successfully completed in time for the fall seasons. The Pioneer football team plays on the field Sept. 3 vs. the University of Dubuque at 7 p.m., while the soccer teams face Dubuque Sept. 1. The Platteville High School football team takes to the field Aug. 26 vs. Darlington.
