The UW-Platteville men's and women's cross country teams debuted in the weekly U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA)regular season polls.
The Pioneer men were third in the NCAA III Midwest Region poll, and the women were ninth.
Coach Tom Antczak's men were eighth nationally in the NCAA III preseason poll, and the first regular season poll comes out Wednesday.
The Pioneers make their 2009 season openers at the UW-Whitewater Invitational Sept. 19.
