Lindsey Vick placed third to lead a UW-Platteville cross country contingent at the Dan Huston Invitational at Wartburg College Saturday in Waverly, Iowa.
Vick completed the 6,000-meter course in 24:38, helping the Pioneers to third among five teams. Hannah Klinger was 13th in 25:26, Nicki Schoenbeck 20th in 26:48, Kelsey Stocks 21st in 27:34, and Emily Flood 24th in 28:34 to complete the scoring.
Tony Kilburg ran 28:08 over 8K to pace the men in the warm conditions. Jason Garvens was 14th in 28:26, Aaron Rappl, 32nd in 20:52, Dave Boggio, 33rd in 30:55, and Curtis Bendorf 35th in 31:15.
Iowa Central, with the top four finishers, won the men's race, and host Wartburg took the women's.
The full Pioneer teams will compete Saturday, Oct. 13 at UW-La Crosse.
