The University of Wisconsin-Platteville had three members of the track and field team named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches’ Association’s (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.

Tony Kilburg (Bellevue, IA), Alli Tank (Dodgeville, WI), and Jessica Scott (Kiel, WI) are the three Pioneers who earned this honor.

The UW-Platteville women’s cross country team received the USTFCCCA Women’s All-Academic Team award. The UW-Platteville women’s team had a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 or better.

Kilburg is among the 150 male student-athletes who received this award in 2007. Tank and Scott are among the 203 Division III female student-athletes in 2007. This award honors the student-athletes who succeed both academically and athletically. The student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and must finish in the top 25 percent in their field at the NCAA regional meet. There are 106 Division III institutions represented on this year’s team.

The women’s UW-Platteville team is in the mix with 141 Division III programs who received the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award. Over a third of Division III schools received this award and 30-32 teams in the championship field at this year’s NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
