Both the UW-Platteville men's and women's cross country teams earned rankings in the NCAA Division III coaches preseason poll, announced today.
The Pioneer men were ninth nationally, while the UWP women were 30th in the first polls. Both teams return five of their top seven runners for veteran Coach Tom Antczak.
The Pioneers will hold their alumni meet Saturday at 10 a.m. and then begin their season for real on Saturday, Sept. 16 at UW-Whitewater.
The UWP Invitational is set for Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Memorial Park Course on campus.
