UW-Platteville's Marcia Taddy earned Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference cross country runner of the week honors for her performance Saturday.
Taddy, a senior from Two Rivers, won a competitive 4K race at the ninth annual Dan Huston Invitational at Wartburg (Iowa) on Oct. 7. She came from behind to beat Janet Dobyns of Luther (Iowa) by four seconds, winning in 14:21.
Taddy, a two-time cross country and eight-time track all-American, leads the Pioneers into another highly competitive meet this Saturday at UW-La Crosse.
In the national polls released Tuesday afternoon, the Pioneer men are ranked ninth in the country, while the women are 25th.
(The Pioneer men's soccer team is ranked 24th by D3kicks.com, while the UWP volleyball team is receiving votes in the AFCA poll.)
