UW-Platteville won the men's 8,000-meter team title, while Marcia Taddy was the women's 4K winner at the eighth annual Dan Huston Invite Saturday at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
The Pioneer men put three runners in the top 15 and six in the first 29 places to win the team title of the 11-school meet. Tyler Sigl remained undefeated, winning his third straight race with a time of 25:51. Kyle Stangel was third in 25:43, while Nick Fulton was seventh (26:11), Bob Dillis 15th (26:34), Russ Goessl 22nd (26:54), and Austen Scudder 29th (27:09), to pace the men's impressive effort.
Taddy coasted to the individual title in the 4,000-meter women's race, finishing 24 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher in 14:32. Lindsey Vick was seventh at 15:15.
In the women's 6K run, the Pioneers were seventh of eight teams. Jessica Scott turned in the top performance, placing 18th in 24:15.
In the men's 4K race, a UWP team was sixth of nine teams, led by Nate Richardson's 24th-palce finish in 13:02.
